How Doggy K Care Got Started
Every great business starts with a story — and
Doggy K Care is no different. People often ask me, “How did you get into pet sitting?” or “Why pets?” The truth is, it started with two things I’ve always had: a deep love for animals and a desire to help people feel at ease when they’re away from home.
A House Full of Love (and Fur!)
Growing up, I was the kid who was always surrounded by animals — dogs, cats, the occasional stray I couldn’t leave behind. I learned early on how much joy they bring into our lives, and how much they rely on us to care for them.
As an adult, my home stayed full of furry friends. Friends and family noticed how calm and happy their pets were when they visited me — and how much care and attention I gave them. Before long, people started asking: “Could you watch my dog while I’m out of town?”
From Favor to Calling
What began as a kind favor for friends quickly turned into a calling. I realized there was a need in our community — a need for trustworthy, loving, and professional pet care that let animals stay in their own homes where they felt safest.
I started learning everything I could and applying my decades of pet ownership with a business perspective: pet CPR, behavior tips, nutrition basics, even how to help shy or anxious pets feel more comfortable. Then, I decided it was time to turn this passion into something bigger.
The Name: Doggy K Care
When it came to naming the business, I wanted something that was playful, easy to remember, and reflected my personal touch. “Doggy K Care” was born — a name that represents both the pets at the center of everything we do and the care that’s at the heart of our mission.

Why I Love What I Do
I feel honored every day to care for people’s pets, to earn their trust, and to see the wagging tails, happy purrs, and peaceful naps that mean I’m doing my job right.
